Meet Dr. Cevallos

A Gentle and Compassionate Veterinarian

Dr. Carolina Cevallos joined our hospital family in 2025, but her story as a veterinarian began long before. Originally from Ecuador, she graduated with her Veterinary Medicine degree in 2014 and spent several years practicing there before moving to Canada. Determined to continue her calling, she earned her Veterinary Technician diploma in Ottawa and worked as an RVT while pursuing her Canadian veterinary license—a journey she proudly completed in 2023. To her, achieving this dream twice, once in Ecuador and again in Canada, was more than a professional milestone; it was proof of her unwavering dedication to animals and the people who love them.

With more than a decade of veterinary experience, Dr. Carolina brings a wealth of knowledge in general practice, emergency medicine, surgery, and diagnostics. She is also Fear Free Certified, with a gentle, patient approach that ensures pets feel safe and cared for at every visit. Her kind and compassionate nature is evident in how she takes time to connect with families, always keeping her patients’ well-being at the center of every decision.

Though she may be new to our hospital, Dr. Carolina is eager to grow roots here, to build lasting bonds with our patients and clients, and to become a familiar, trusted face. What she loves most about her work is being able to walk alongside families through every stage of their pets’ lives—from the excitement of welcoming a new puppy or kitten to the thoughtful care required in their senior years. She values the trust clients place in her and cherishes the chance to be part of their lives, listening to their stories and sharing in the moments that make each bond unique.

At home, Dr. Carolina’s life is full of love, laughter, and four-legged companionship. She shares her days with her husband Gabriel, their daughter Naia, Pepa the playful yellow Labrador, and Yana, the spoiled cat who happily rules the household.

Outside the hospital, Carolina finds joy in life’s creative and energizing outlets. She loves swimming, dancing, and singing—activities that fuel her bright spirit and remind her to find joy in the moment. She also treasures time spent in nature, especially hiking to scenic views with her family. These moments of balance and connection inspire the compassion and calm she brings into her veterinary practice.
