Dr. Jackie Gordon has been a beloved member of our hospital family since 2011, bringing more than 20 years of veterinary experience, compassion, and dedication to her role. Fear Free Certified and a strong advocate for Cooperative Care, Dr. Jackie strives to ensure that every patient not only receives the best possible medical care but also feels safe, respected, and at ease during their visits.

Her journey into veterinary medicine began at just two years of age, when her first dog, Nanook, became her constant companion and inspiration. That bond shaped her lifelong passion for animals and taught her early about the power of the human-animal connection. Today, Dr. Jackie treasures the privilege of walking alongside pets and their families through every stage of life—from wiggly puppies and curious kittens to wise and gentle seniors, and all the milestones in between.

Dr. Jackie’s expertise spans surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and beyond, but her role goes much deeper than procedures. She loves the relationships she’s built with pet parents over the years, valuing the chance to be part of their lives on the periphery—listening to stories about children and grandchildren, favourite hobbies, or even the ups and downs of their favourite sports teams. For her, veterinary medicine isn’t just about caring for pets; it’s about supporting the families who love them.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Jackie finds joy in creativity and connection. She’s an expert quilter, crafting intricate designs that tell their own stories, and she has an affinity for baking—especially delicious breads and treats that she loves to share. She also treasures time spent appreciating nature, whether on quiet walks or simply taking in the world around her.

At home, life is made fuller by her partner, Line, their two spirited old dogs Gracie and Spot, and a curious cat, Sebastien, who keeps them all entertained.
